Desc: A Common Stage: Directed by Anna Steinberg. A common stage follows a year of Shakespeare in the City, an annual event in Providence, Rhode Island that takes place in May. SitC brings together local public, charter, and private schools to put on a Shakespeare play, irrespective of their gender, class, race, sexual orientation, or ethnicity. Students from all backgrounds work with the challenging text of Shakespeare, and then meet each other to perform.
